I got my passport in the mail a few days ago, and even though I’m not a huge fan of the way my picture turned out, it was really exciting to receive it, especially because it was delivered in the off season. For any future exchange students who don’t have their passports yet, the best time to get them, according to the lady who issued mine, is around this time of year because it’s not a high traffic time. You can
get your passport in about two weeks, which is what happened to me, as opposed to about six.
Luckily there are only two more months until I find out what country I’m going to, and about nine before I leave. I can’t wait, but at the same time I’m nervous about leaving, but who wouldn’t be? This year I have a school that I really love and a large group of friends, so it makes it a bit harder to part ways for so long, but being an exchange student will be such an amazing experience that it more than makes up for it.
This Sunday, I’m most likely going to the NC zoo with all of the students from my area currently involved in the program, so current inbounds and future out bounds like myself. I’ll update soon with details about that.
Bye for now!
